First Responders Are Using Bears In the Field

Published June 2, 2021

Teddy bears have made it to the medical field! Local ambulance stations are saying that they are using teddy bears to reduce anxiety and alleviate “white coat syndrome” in pediatric patients. It was also stated that teddy bears are a great way to demonstrate simple procedures, such as showing a child how to listen to their heart.

Many ambulance stations now carry teddy bears on their ambulances, and keep a steady supply of bears ready to restock when one is given to a child. We love seeing teddy bears doing good things for our community. We’ll be looking to partner with local ambulance stations in the near future to help them keep a steady supply of bears.
